FAQs

The best way is to simply try. You can book a free chemistry session with me (www.calendly.com/alexpatient) to see how we work together. In that hour I will explain to you about what coaching is and isn’t, before we actually work together for ~40 minutes on a topic of your choosing. Usually in discussion these topics become apparent as well. So book on to www.calendly.com/alexpatient and let’s see if it’s a good fit.

I have my own coach to support my personal development year round. However, coaching is particularly valuable at the points of transition: when you are changing role, getting promoted, seeking a new career path, and similar. These are great times to engage a leadership coach, and really work through what matters and how you want to put yourself out there going forwards.

I’m afraid the answer depends on the kind of challenges that you are facing. Generally, however, I would not coach an individual for fewer than 4 hours as it takes time to develop the insights that you need, and to then put those insights into action and embed them. The majority of my clients opt for 6 hours of coaching. I also offer a free additional 2 hours of coaching if they are not satisfied with the level of insight they have achieved in that time: nobody has yet had to exercise that promise though!
My mission has been to benefit the larger community in achieving its fullest potential. Many charities rightfully spend as much money as possible on the frontline, but that means minimal budget to support the management teams’ development. So when I win business at my corporate rate, I spend the same number of hours on either coaching or management training with a charity that cannot afford these services. I’d be more than happy to talk about the range of pro bono clients I have helped to date, and who I will support if you were to take on corporate coaching or training.
90% of my clients are coached online via Zoom. This saves the time and cost of travel. I have also found that there is no material difference in our ability to connect and create insight online, having been working this way for the last 5 years.
